I’m Shelly Oberman, a professional photographer devoted to celebrating the beauty, strength, and essence of women through my lens. My life goal is to change the way women see themselves.

My journey with photography began my freshman year of college in New York at the age of 18, during a profoundly transformative time in my life. After the sudden death of my mom, photography became my sanctuary—a way to find purpose, express my creativity, and navigate through immense loss. 

In 1990,  after a career as an international flight attendant, I relocated to Seattle where I started my business and raised my now 20-year-old daughter.  

What sets my approach apart is the care and attention I bring to every session. From the moment we begin, I ensure you feel comfortable, prepared, and completely pampered, so your experience is as empowering as the final images themselves. 

I specialize in capturing the unique stories of women, with a particular focus on women over 50. My mission is to provide a transformative experience that helps every person I photograph feel radiant, confident, 

and truly seen.
